POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the General Manager of Atlantic Highways Management Corporation Ltd., the Manager, Toll Operations is responsible for providing complete financial and technical oversight and support for all aspects of tolling operations, establishing checks and balances to ensure tolls are being collected and processed in accordance with the Omnibus Agreement, and act as a back up to the General Manager, when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and maintain toll video system, including organizing and maintaining storage
  • Responsible for performing audits in response to inquiries, requests for information, discrepancies, etc.
  • Participate in the testing and/or upgrading of new tolling related software and/or hardware, including the analysis of associated reports, and provide recommendations related to the continuous improvement of tolling operations
  • Liaise with software and hardware suppliers regarding any system inquiries and/or issues
  • Administer a proactive tolling system maintenance program and report and prepare recommendations to the General Manager as required/applicable
  • Report any discrepancies in relation to toll collection to the General Manager
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to minor tolling equipment hiccups (i.e.: reset, restart, reboot software, hardware, printers, etc.)
  • Provide “on call” support for any immediate but minor tolling operations concerns or issues
  • Perform duties of General Manager when absent
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial administration, preferably in tolling operations and/or in a technical environment
  • College or University education in Business Management is an asset
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, SAP, C++ - and or other computer programming language)
  • Must be a highly motivated, proactive, strong team player
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle
