You will have the opportunity to…
  • Process commissions, adjustments and related accounting entries while ensuring that internal and regulatory guidelines are followed.
  • Partner with sales force in relation to commission pay.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Perform day to day calculations and processing commissions for various dealer representatives;
  • Verify all commission transactions comply with internal accounting database records;
  • Prepare and process bank deposits and electronic fund transfers from Fund Companies;
  • Accurately maintain and verify records/back-up for all dealer transactions;
  • Prepare and post journal entries utilizing Dataphile and SUN systems according to all accounting commission related transactions;
  • Reconcile various dealer accounts utilizing Dataphile and SUN systems for period end;
  • Compile data from various systems to ensure data accuracy for Financial reporting purposes;
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports; and
  • Participate in special projects/assignments.
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting office environment;
  • College Diploma/University Degree in Accounting preferred;
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel;
  • Previous experience in calculating and paying sales commissions preferably within the securities industry;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; and
  • Experience with Dataphile and/or SUN accounting an asset.
