Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinets, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children’s specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi‘olani Women’s Center, Kapi‘olani Breast Center and Kapi‘olani Women’s Cancer Center, the state’s only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. The Wilcox Unit at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is a pediatric unit dedicated to providing family centered, comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for children with cancer and blood disorders and general pediatric medical surgical care of adolescents and other aged pediatric patients. Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, which enables our children to receive the most current treatment by participating in the National Cancer Center Institute, approved clinical trials.
If you are a compassionate, sensitive caregiver and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, you could be the ideal candidate for our Hematology Oncology Coordinator position. You would be responsible for the development and coordination of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology services, including coordination of the Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell (HPC) Transplant Program, National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Bone Marrow Collection Center and other programs as designated under the service. We are looking for someone with exceptional communications and planning skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. Two (2) years experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
Preferred Qualifications: Chemotherapy certification. Completion of a national Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider course. Previous program development or coordination experience.
