Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinets, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children’s specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi‘olani Women’s Center, Kapi‘olani Breast Center and Kapi‘olani Women’s Cancer Center, the state’s only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Through clinical trials, the newest, most promising medications, medical devices, and treatment protocols are made available to patients. The Clinical Trials team at Hawai‘i Pacific Health Research Institute (HPHRI) supports clinical trials within the Hawai‘i Pacific Health network of hospitals to expand our knowledge and better provide top quality medical care to Hawai‘i’s populations. We participate in more than 200 clinical trials a year, working with more than 70 principal investigators who are overseen by our highly trained professional staff of care providers and research managers.
If you have excellent patient care skills and an interest in contributing to groundbreaking clinical research, you could be an ideal candidate for our Clinical Research Coordinator position. In this role, you will perform nursing functions and coordinates all aspects related to implementation of research protocols or clinical trials with an emphasis on patient relations. We are looking for someone with an understanding of clinical research protocol, the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and a commitment to helping our organization deliver the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Clinical Research Certification. Two (2) years recent acute care registered nurse experience.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year clinical research experience.
