POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Aecon O.N.E team is looking for a Project Analyst.  Our purpose is to provide a division-wide approach to identify, prioritize and successfully execute a portfolio of initiatives and projects that are aligned with Aecon’s  strategic and financial goals and ensure service excellence to our customers. 

 
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Analyst  will be responsible to continuously refine and share best practices throughout the Utilities Division and provide a channel of communication for successes, mitigation of issues, risk and dependencies across yards.
 
The successful candidate must be available to travel across Ontario.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide Manager with data and project analysis
  • Provide internal and external reports from various yards
  • Track productivity, costs and progress on projects
  • Must possess diligence and keep abreast of all programs created, through evaluation which determines the efficiency of ongoing projects in the workplace
  • Communicate with customer technical support departments
  • Monitor and provide job cost reports to management on active projects   
  • Maintain files and correspondence on active and completed projects
  • Provide technical support to field staff
  • Design, develop and establish key reporting standards
  • Process management reports and performance indicators for management to review concerning certain projects
  • Maintain overall project planning and formulate reports based on project scheduling and timetables for deliverables
  • Champion continuous process improvement throughout the Utilities Division

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Prior experience with data analysis
  • Sound computer skills – MS Excel / Lotus, MS Word and MS Project
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written
  • Self motivated with good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure
  • Ability to see a task from conception to implementation
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
  • Ability to Inspire and foster an environment of cooperation between different departments and co-workers
  • Ability to work with others as a team
  • Availability to travel between all Utilities yards
