With the World of Marketing in a continual state of change, marketing professionals face decisions on how to allocate funds, drive execution and measure returns on these new channels. Today's strategic Digital Marketers are seeking objective advice on how to best operate in this new mission-critical space. This is a market need that we at Gartner are uniquely able to serve.  Our expectation is that our Digital Marketing Business and the new product Gartner for Marketing Leaders (GML) will stand alongside our Information Technology and our Supply Chain Management businesses and products, under the umbrella of our Corporate Strategy for Growth.

Gartner is currently recruiting for an Account Executive for our Digital Marketing channel. In this is a field sales role, you will be responsible for direct client contract value retention as well as growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. The territory for this role includes specific major client accounts, and carries a sales quota of$1 million+ of contract value.  

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner's products and services
  • Account management with outcome of increased customer satisfaction and increase in retention & account growth
  • Quota responsibility of $1 million+ of contract value within a territory of major account sized client accounts
  • Consistent execution of Gartner's internal sales methodology
  • Proficient in account planning and understanding of territory management
  • Manage forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Maintain competitive knowledge and focus
  • Fiscal responsibility with regards to expense management
  • In-depth knowledge of Gartner's products and services 

REQUIREMENTS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of field sales experience with proven consultative sales, preferably experience in high technology (services, software or hardware), with evidence of prior success in Sales.
  • Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within medium and large organizations
  • Demonstration of Gartner traits:  Intellect, Drive, Executive Presence, Sales and Business Acumen
  • Proven experience building trust based value added relationships with clients that bring strategic insight into their business
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and conduct effective presentations with contract decision makers (C-level)
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close
  • Bachelors degree, with strong evidence of academic success
  • Masters or advanced degree a plus
